The testing apparatus for bend tests is used for the determination of the forming angle of segmented testing pieces of plastics according to DVS rule 2203, part 5.
The apparatus consists of a pedestal with a table and floor plate on which the guide pillars with ball circulating screws are flanged.
In the pedestal there is a timing belt drive responsible for the movement of the spindles which is powered by a stepping motor with a separate control unit and it makes the crossrail rise.
The measuring equipment consists of two supports mounted on the pedestal. During the testing phase the actual forming angle is shown on the scale. By braking the testing piece the count of the maximum value is stopped which is immediately shown on the scale.
The testing apparatus for forming angles can be adjusted for testing distances of 80, 90 and 100 mm. Testing pieces for welding made out of PE, PP, PVC and PVDF with a maximum thickness of 15 mm can be tested by the eligible feed speed.
