Welding machine for the heating element butt welding of PE, PP and PVDF pipes and fittings from OD 90 to OD 355 (IPS 14”). Compared to the well-known WIDOS 4900, the WIDOS 4911 features the following enhancements:
- The machine is suitable for metric or inch applications
- The clamping rings and the frame have been considerably reinforced
- The basic frame consists of a solid rectangular tube with connector system providing rugged clamping for a quick disassembly of the machine and the fourth clamping ring on site; by removing the then remaining unit from the base frame, it may be used as “three-ring-repair-machine”
- The upper clamping shells may be hinged
- The lower clamping tools are multi-connected by massive bolts for an even more solid construction of the basic machine
- The heating element features an improved coating on hardened aluminum casting and is thus protected against wear and tear even better than before
- The planer discs have been hardened and are thus more insensitive to wear and tear; an additional coating provides better sliding and thus reduced driving power.
Despite these changes, you may continue using the reducer inserts of the well-known WIDOS 4900; adaptor shells from OD 355 to OD 315 are available. The machine features the same well-proven cylinders than the WIDOS 4900; thus the welding parameters are further applicable.

- The clamping rings and the frame have been considerably reinforced
