The WIDOS 4702 is a light and solid welding machine for the heating element butt welding of PE, PP and PVDF pipes and fittings from OD 90 mm to OD 315 mm and was constructed in accordance with strictly economic guidelines.
The basic machine has a double clamping device on both sides guided by 2 hydraulic cylinders. The basic clamping of OD 315 mm can be reduced to OD 90 mm by means of clamping inserts. By screwing off the fourth outer clamping jaw fittings and pipe flange without special accessories can be clamped without any difficulties. Additional large and super large reduction inserts or a combination set of narrow, large and super large inserts are available. In order to reduce once more the weight of the machine for the use on pipe bridges or during installation, the skids can be screwed off.
The hydraulic unit is light and in an open construction. Thus it can be easily maintained. Due to the integrated pressure holding device the unit only has short operational times for the moving of the slide. The exact welding pressure is set by means of a reproducible pressure adjustment valve. The face cutter has an electric drive over a chain in an aluminium housing with external chip removal.
The heating element (OD 340 mm) has a PTFE silver coating, connection cable with mains plug, control lamps for system and interval checking, on/off switch and electronical temperature control in accordance with DVS 2208. For the protected storage of face cutter and heating element a heat-protected box is available.
On request we can supply a wodden transport crate with ironmongery for storage purposes as well as compartment crates with 4, 7 or 9 compartments for the clamping inserts. All components are covered by the WIDOS works warranty. The WIDOS 4702 can easily be retrofitted with the WIDOS SPA weld log recorder.
