The IFAT is the world’s leading trade fair for environmental technology and held in Munich (Germany) every two years. Our focus on welding machines for the construction site did perfectly meet the expectations of the plastic pipe and fitting industries in the supply and disposal sector. Furthermore, the IFAT is the most important international trade fair for WIDOS since more than 50% of our visitors come from abroad. Our visitors, active in the pipeline construction as well as pipe and fitting production areas, were predominantly decision makers responsible for buying new welding equipment and came from 24 countries worldwide.
For the first time, we presented the vertical welding method with a WIDOS 4400. This innovative method enables welding in a new dimension! The presentation of the new control unit within the WIDOS WI-CNC control was another fair highlight. Our simulator demonstrated an innovative welding process on the WIDOS 8000 by solely using the operator console, without the welding machine. Our WIDOS ESI 3000 complements our product range by a user-friendly option for the electro socket welding. The further development of the ESI 2000, the ESI 3000 features an USB port and weld logging and allows entering the parameters through a hand scanner. The focus of our product range continues to be butt welding.
A main focus on the IFAT was the welding of pipes with a diameter of 3500 mm – currently the maximum diameter for extruded pipes. With our welding machine WIDOS 35000, we are globally the sole manufacturer of welding machines that can handle this maximum pipe diameter. We received numerous direct inquiries and are expecting an increased number of orders within the next months. We received many positive reactions in response to our newly presented hydraulic control unit. Following the successful field tests, we will start to offer this control unit for construction site machinery. The new technology is already available for workshop machinery. Infrared welding proved to be the upward trend in the Asian market.
